For three days, the 100 most innovative educational digitization projects in the world were presented at the international HundrED gala. Among them was a project with the learning management system next:classroom from Essen-based neomatt GmbH (www.neomatt.de), which received several awards this year. In Helsinki, the innovative redesign of a Swiss vocational school (Bildungszentrum Limmattal ZH) using the e-learning system from Essen received an award. Here, a self-directed learning approach was combined with digital learning worlds under the brand n47e8 to form an overall concept that also unites analog room concepts in a novel mix with virtual 360° panorama worlds. The school building becomes a learning campus, learners explore the topics of their education on their own responsibility and use their own mobile devices (BYOD).
