On November 8, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., the doors of Hall 1 opened for the numerous international visitors of the first DIGITAL FUTUREcongress in Essen. The visitors came to find out about the current trends in the digital economy. At more than 150 exhibitor booths, they were offered a wide range of products and services, from office solutions and cloud services to virtual reality applications for a wide variety of areas. In addition, there were a large number of presentations on five different stages on topics such as online marketing, process optimization, Work 4.0 or cyber security. Various stands with drinks and food provided for the physical well-being of the visitors as well as the exhibitors and organizers.<\/p>\n\n\n

We would have liked to enjoy the latter more extensively, but fortunately there was hardly any time for this in view of the numerous visitors to our stand. Instead, we enjoyed many discussions about our solutions in the field of e-learning, the in-house tracking system SpotterBee and especially our new product and information platform Locodoro.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The consistently positive response from both users and potential new cooperation partners on the topic of local search engines showed us that we have closed a gap with Locodoro and developed a product that offers both searchers and providers significant added value. In particular, the idea of better information presentation and greater transparency for local offers in combination with special functions such as 360\u00b0 VR panoramic tours and in-house navigation generated a great deal of interest among our discussion partners.<\/p>\n\n\n

One could also perceive this joy in the implementation of new ideas from other exhibitors during their presentation. More and more companies, including ourselves, are concentrating on their core competencies instead of offering a wide range of products and services. Against this backdrop, insightful discussions were held on the potential offered by collaboration in which each individual can contribute his or her expertise and product so that the digital future can be shaped together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With these impressions and many newly established contacts, the DIGITAL FUTUREcongress finally ended at 5:00 pm. We are looking forward to the upcoming talks and cooperations with the goal of implementing interesting projects with strong partners, as well as offering a platform with Locodoro that offers new marketing opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
